Well for the time being I'm going to be writing a bunch of short stories, possibly to use in novels at a later date if the idea hammers upon me like a whack-a-mole. This is my first short story, a 15 minute production of my work. If anyone reads these I'd be more than happy if you could critisize, praise, or just comment vaguely upon my writing. I'll even except flaming, because arguing about something is just another way of showing me your a fan :)
Short Story #1 - I hope your hungry for hell.
It was getting worse, the darkness encasing her fragile form as she shook uncontrollably, curled up in a ball. "Oh God, Help me" she murmured lightly to her self, the last thing she needed were things to get worse. Then the noises came, leaving goosebumpbs running along her spine, noises that escaped the realm of possibility. She attempted to focus, to push past the fear, but the noises continued to crush her mentality, grasping on to her mind too tightly to free herself from it. In the small confines of her office, from the center of the room, a dark hue of red lights began to form, ripping the ground open beneith it.
She started choking, gasping for air as the smouldering carpet began to burn, ash and ember hammering down hard like a storm. She finally sat herself up, pulling her legs close to her chest, only able to watch as the nightmares began to form infront of her. Dark shadow-like figures started to take form, almost humanoid. Branch like fingers, etheral and grimacing, started lurching forward towards her, stalking her unmoving body. She wanted to let out a scream, she wanted someone to come save her from the hell she had laid down for herself. What she had done to deserve this she wasn't sure of, but she knew in some small way that it was her sins that caused this vision to appear.
The shadow creature crawled closer to her, up and around the walls that she rest upon, the only light in the room caused by the hovering ball of crimson energy. It grabbed her with lightning like speed, she wasn't sure it had happened at all, and began rag dolling her around the room without resistance, without a struggle of any kind. She screamed as she hit walls, the desk she had worked at for nearly two years, then into the floor. She lay on the floor beaten, struggling to recover her breath. It felt like an eternity, like forever that she lay on the floor although only seconds passed. Maybe it was over, and maybe someone had heard her scream, maybe someone would come to her rescue.
Then as if she had known what was coming next, in a primal reaction of absolute fear, she dug her nails into the remaining carpet. She was being dragged, some etheral being had her by her feet and was leading her towards the hole in the ground. As she got closer to the hole, closer to the burning ball of fierce energy, she could feel her muscles start to give up on her. With the rest of her might and will she dug harder into the floors, and let loose a kick towards the creature that held her tightly. *Poof*. Her kick went right through the apparitions head, shadow and dust parting away and then forming back within a split of a second. She had nothing left, and the creature dragged her closer to the hole. Her body was too big, and it struggled to bring her down. Thank the heavens she thought.
Then before she could scream, a grimacing, ashen skeletal hand reached up from the ground underneither her and plucked her into the earth. She screamed at the top of her lungs but it was too late, she had no escape anymore. The ground began to patch itself up and she was no more, no longer part of the human world. She was now his slave, she would spend the rest of time paying for her sins.
